Honolulu Hotels

Waikiki is the hotel district to research when looking for a room. We recommend booking in the EAST/SOUTH (Diamond Head) side of Waikiki. This allows us all to be within walking distance of each other and meet up easily. When looking at the map in the link below, the East/South side of Waikiki is in or near the blue or yellow sections of the map. Try not to get farther north than Kuhio Street. Meet your friends at the Duke Kahanamoku Statue before and after the Playshop. Another Waikiki hotel area map.

Waikiki  Sunset Sail

On Wednesday, August 19th, VMC will arrange an optional sunset catamaran cruise in Waikiki from 5 to 7 pm. (The cost is around $50.) If your schedule allows you to leave a little later, consider joining us in Waikiki for our rhythmical sunset cruise. Bring snacks, drinks, drums, and towels. Be careful, because you might get wet, but you will have fun! We meet around 4:00 pm at the famous Duke Kahanamoku Statue at the public beach at Kuhio Beach Park, on Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. That’s the Duke, standing in front of a giant surfboard. Join us in Waikiki after the Playshop!
