Hawaii Mentor Qualifications

Prerequisites for Mentor participation are as follows:

• must have attended at least one 6-day training or two 3-day trainings with Arthur Hull
• demonstrates their commitment to Village Music Circles community building principals and techniques
• subject to acceptance by Arthur Hull and Jim Boneau*

Each year Village Music Circles welcomes our past participants to join us in Hawaii for The Mentors Leadership Experience. Mentors are rhythm facilitators who are prepared for a 10-day learning and leadership experience that builds on their VMC facilitation skills. Your training begins with a 3-day mentors-only retreat and continues during the 6-day program where you will cultivate mentor skills through direct experience mentoring a small group within the larger group setting.

*Mentors are selected by Arthur Hull and Jim Boneau based on their commitment to the VMC model of community building and their experience in relevant VMC trainings.
