Billy Knutson
discovered the power of group rhythm and drumming in 2005 at a yoga retreat and since that time has immersed himself in variety of musical and drumming studies, for the individual and groups. He has completed Remo’s Health Rhythms program and five Facilitator programs with Village Music Circles, as well as studying regularly with professional drummers from West Africa, Uruguay and Cuba.
Billy Knutson started in the health and fitness industry 26 years ago and founded Functional Fysical Fitness inc, a Total Wellness Company, in 1998. He combines a wide variety of studies and experience aimed at the integration of the whole person and community. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, Lifestyle Coach and Drum Circle Facilitator.
He combined his experience and enthusiasm for health and wellness in starting his RhythmWellness business, recognizing the fact that rhythm is everywhere affecting everything for good or bad.
Billy’s focus and intent is in sharing the message and experience of the joy of rhythmical play, connection, caring, healing and sharing the joys and sorrows of life together, while also getting back into harmony with ourselves, one another and our world, rediscovering the art and skill of listening to strengthen relationships with self, family, community, morality and with the earth.
Following the indigenous model, Billy facilitates circles for most any event, both community and corporate, from baby showers to funerals, and corporate ice breakers to conflict resolution drum circles.
