Paul Dear

is the founder and managing director of Rhythmbridge. Established in 1999 he has worked with over 350,000 school children, many corporate clients and has facilitated the UK’s longest running Arthurian Community Drum Circle since the year 2001.

Paul has taught ‘Rhythms of the World’, a hand drumming class for all levels since 1999 and has performed with Maghribibeat, Beyondrum and more recently The Kajamor Family.

Paul also created ‘The Wee Drum Gathering’ in Scotland, a weekend of drum, song and dance where the participants create the workshop as they go in the spirit of freedom and improvisation. It is proving hugely popular and the 5th Wee Drum will take place in Ireland in 2014.

Last year Paul headed up the core team for the UK Playshop at Wiston Lodge, having served as a team member for the previous three, and will once again do so for the 10 day ‘Hawaii Style’ Program in 2013.
